Lillian Vidal, DDS

Dr. Vidal

Dr. Vidal is of Cuban origin and immigrated to the United States at 3 years of age with her family, and settled in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Columbia University’s Barnard College in 1985, and continued her graduate studies at Columbia University, School of Dental and Oral Surgery, where she obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree in 1989. After graduation she completed her General Practice Residency at Englewood Hospital in 1990. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Vidal joined the preclinical restorative dentistry staff at Columbia, and is currently a member of the Board of Admissions at the Dental School.

Dr. Vidal has been in private practice since 1989 and enjoys General, Cosmetic and Implant Rehabilitative dentistry. She consistently attends meetings nationally and internationally to ensure her practice and techniques remain State of the Art. Always striving to provide patients with optimal aesthetic results, she emphasizes on educating the patient so that together they can achieve the best dental care, uniquely customized for the patient.

Dr. Vidal has a passion for the arts, history and travel, which she shares with her husband. Her children attended Dwight Englewood High School in Bergen County, New Jersey and are successfully pursuing their careers in Finance and Retail Industries respectively.

Stephanie Alvarez, DMD

Dr. Stephanie Alvarez is a Miami, FL native. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Education from the University of Florida. She continued her education and earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University, and graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD).

While at Tufts, Dr. Alvarez followed her passion for giving back to those in need and was involved in various community service activities and organizations. In addition, Stephanie held a leadership position in the Hispanic Dental Association (HDA) as a Community Service Representative and co-led a global service-learning trip to Guatemala. Having a background in education as an Applied Behavioral Analysis teacher, she also co-founded Autism Smiles Day, an event that allows children with Autism to become familiar with a dental visit. Her passion for community service earned her the Honus Civicus award and the Dr. Esther Kaplan Colchamiro Community and Public Health award.

Dr. Alvarez was one of three residents to be accepted into the inaugural class at Englewood Hospital Dental Residency, a program that focuses on multidisciplinary comprehensive oral health. During her residency at Englewood Hospital, Dr. Alvarez was a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), and completed advanced training in Implant Dentistry. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Alvarez shows her commitment by staying current with cutting-edge education to provide quality care to her patients. Dr. Alvarez cares about her patients and prides herself on educating patients so that they can take control of their oral health and make informed decisions about their treatment, providing patient-focused care.

In her free time, Dr. Alvarez likes exploring new restaurants, cooking, and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her family back home and being the “cool aunt” to her nieces and nephew.

Stephany Sanchez, DMD

Since junior year of high school, Dr. Stephany Sanchez had the desire to become a dentist. She spent several hours shadowing, volunteering, and dedicating herself to achieve her goal. Dr. Sanchez was born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ. She attended Rutgers University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences. She is a proud graduate of Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. She completed a one year General Practice Residency at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ. Dr. Sanchez aims to provide patients with the best possible care in a benevolent environment.

Marcela Lopez CDA, RDA

Dental Assistant

Marcela joined the practice in 2006, and is integral to the quality for care and operation of our practice. She is the Primary Dental Assistant, and takes great pride in making the patient’s experience as pleasant as possible from first visit to the most complex restorative procedure. She also ensures that all staff members and providers work in a comfortable and safe environment. Marcela is in fact a dentist, graduating in 1993 from Colegio Odontologico Colombiano in her native country of Columbia. Additionally, she specialized in Pediatric Dentistry, completing her post-doctoral program at Pontificia Universidad Catolica of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1995. Upon immigrating to the United States, she chose not to pursue her Doctorate but still remained in the dental field as a dental assistant.

Marcela is very caring and family oriented and enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and husband.

Nancy Cabaleiro

Administrative Staff

Nancy became a staff member in 2010, however has been a patient in the practice since 1990. She is the face and voice of the practice, taking great pride in accommodating patient’s professional and business scheduling needs. Nancy coordinates appointments, insurance submissions and financial arrangements in a courteous manner. Additionally, she organizes all continuing dental education for the staff.
